This is an example of a custom embroidered 28” x 20” cotton, regulation size U.S. Army Recruiting Guidon. This guidon was custom framed and presented as a PCS gift. The framing design for this Recruiting Guidon consists of the regulation size guidon and seven objects – representing military memorabilia associated with a military career. The guidon occupies the top left position in the frame. To the right of the Recruiting Guidon’s swallowtail area are four objects. From top to bottom these objects include: a Sergeant First Class Pin-On Insignia, an Army Recruiter Identification Badge, an Army Combat Service Identification Badge (CSIB) for the 49th Quartermaster Group, and a Qualification Badge. Directly under the guidon are three objects that include: the Recruiting Command (color) patch on the left, a commemorative nameplate in the center, and a U.S. Army Star patch on the right. The design for the Big Rapids Recruiting Guidon uses triple etched black mats. These mats contrast well with the colors in the guidon, the insignia, and the patches. A standard V-groove surrounds the guidon and the military memorabilia.
