This is an example of a custom embroidered Signal Corps guidon. The section of the guidon’s swallowtail was not framed in this design. Only the insignia with unit identification was used by the customer. Beneath the guidon is a custom nameplate flanked by two challenge coins. The custom nameplate commemorates the event for presenting this guidon. The signal Corps guidon is framed using double mats. The top mat is an etched black mat, and the bottom mat is white. A standard V-groove surrounds the guidon and the objects beneath it. The frame for this guidon is black with a silver tone fillet against the frame’s adage.
