Acid-free spacers are layered together with acid-free double-stick tape to build up the depth in the frame

Acid-free foamboard is used to create spacers for framing large objects in shadow boxes, flag display cases, frame with tall profiles. Often objects frame are too tall for an aesthetic design. To overcome this problem, spacers are used to add depth and compensate for the design deficiency. Layers of foamboard are sandwiched together using double-stick acid-free tape to build depth. Another role of foamboard spacers is to separate objects from the glass. This will prevent objects from breaking the glass.
