Bronze Star Medal With Award Document – Vertical Design

Bronze Star Medal With Award Document - Vertical Design

This is an example features the Bronze Star Medal with the signed award document using a vertical design. The Bronze Star Medal is awarded for heroism. This Bronze Star Medal is framed with the award document over the bronze star medal. This design variation uses triple acid-free/conservation grade mats. The mat colors match the colors in both the Bronze Star Metal and the decoration award. The top mat is linen. The red linen mat provides a rich, deep texture to the overall look. A dark blue mat matches the colors in the medal’s vertical stripe. The Bronze Star is top mounted to a white mat in the opening beneath the award document. The award document is mounted to an acid-free reversible foamboard. Our signature V-groove surrounds the award document and the medal. A dark Brown wood frame with metal corner caps surrounds the mats. This frame with metal corner caps is most popular profile for framing documents with small items such as medals, ribbons, patches, rank pins, distinctive unit insignias, photographs, tabs, patches, and small memorabilia. We frame Bronze Star Medals using conservation grade materials and techniques. This includes using 99% UV protective glass. There are a number of options available for framing Bronze Star Medals. Some of these options include different mat colors and different style frame profiles. Options are also available that include placing additional objects inside the frame with the Bronze Star.

I like this frame design. I have 2 bronze stars and have been looking for a frame for them. Is it possible to get this exact setup without sending my items in or is that required?

      Bryan,
Thank you for your inquiry. Since I complete the entire frame, I am
unable to provide just the frame and matting as I must have the medal
and certificate to determine the exact size required for each computer
mat cut opening as well as the frame. I also have to secure each piece
in place inside the frame. I just received 2 Bronze stars and
certificates from Texas as well as 3 Meritorious Service medals to
complete. It is not a problem to ship them as long as they are
secured properly inside the shipping box. The certificate must be
placed between 2 pieces of hard cardboard so it doesn’t bend or crease
during shipping. The medal must be securely padded so it doesn’t get
tossed around inside the box. So far it hasn’t been a problem for my
customers to ship their medals and certificates.

What is the process and turn around time for a Bronze Star frame? Also, what is the cost?

      Chris,
Thank you for the inquiry regarding framing a Bronze Star and Certificate of Award as shown in the example.
The total cost includes the following:
      1. Triple acid -free archival mats: top mat – red, 2nd mat royal blue, 3rd mat off-white on which to mount the medal
      2. Custom computer mat cut design with openings for the certificate and medal along with an open-v-groove to the outside edge which will show the 2nd royal blue mat peeking through. This is my most popular Military design and not offered by any other online company.
      3. All-wood brown, black, & gold frame with 4 metal corner caps. (This frame was discontinued 5 years ago and is not available from any other framer in the U.S.) I have a limited supply of it.
      4. 99% UV Protective Acrylic to prevent fading over time and prevent breakage in shipping
      5. Mounting and securing the certificate and medal within the frame
      6. Acid-free dust cover with plastic coated wire and metal hangers
      7. Shipping & insurance to a FedEx Office Print & Ship Center for pickup within 5 days of arrival. If shipped to a home address there is an extra $75 charge as FedEx is required to obtain a signature to prevent theft. I don’t ship outside of the Continental U.S.
      8. Turn around time is 6 weeks with a $100 rush fee if desired before that time.

Total cost if shipped to a FedEx address and not a rush order = $575.00

If you want to proceed, ship the Certificate of Award between two pieces of hard cardboard in a box to prevent it from being creased in transit along with the medal securely wrapped to my address below. Once received, I will contact you for payment.
