Framed Limited Addition Print Titled Fully Knowing The Hazards O
This is a framed limited edition print titled, “Fully Knowing The Hazards Of Their Chosen Profession” by James Dietz. We were honored to have framed this James Dietz print for one of our military customers. This is an accurate depiction of courage under fire involving elements of the 2nd Ranger Battalion. This limited edition military print by James Dietz accurately depicts an engagement in the vicinity of Paktiya Province, Afghanistan, on 26 May 2008 between members of the 2nd Platoon, D Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion and Al Qaeda. In this engagement, SSG Leroy Petry attempted to throw an enemy grenade back at the enemy, when the grenade exploded. The explosion severed SSG Petry’s right hand. For his heroic actions to save his men, SSG Petry was awarded the Medal of Honor on July 12, 2011.This limited edition military print was framed for a military customer. The design for the frame includes the use of conservation grade paper mats that match the colors in the print. The outer mat is an off-green that matches the foliage in the foreground and the Americans’ uniform colors. The inner mat is a buff color that matches the nearby structures’ color. A two-tone mahogany and black wood tone profile is used to create the frame. A special drop box cut beneath the title and artist’s name adds dimension and character to the framed piece. The opening inside the drop box also reveals the distinctive unit insignia for the men involved in the engagement.
