This is an example of a limited edition framed military print titled, “The Tipping Point” by James Dietz. “The Tipping Point” depicts the 2008 Battle for Sadr City and the Gold Wall. The depiction pits Task Force Striker against the radical cleric Muqtada Al Sadr’s Special Groups. This scene represents one the many daily battle that occurred in an effort to remove the Special Groups and their leadership. The artistry of James Dietz captures the valor and determination of the U.S. Army during the Iraqi war. We were honored to have framed this piece for a “Striker” commander. It was custom triple framed using conservation grade mats and materials. A custom nameplate beneath the print acknowledges a fellow commander’s role in battle. The mats in this design use complementary colors to match the combat scene’s character. The top mat has a standard V-groove that surrounds the art and the nameplate. A brown wood profile made from real wood with has metal corner caps is used to create the frame. We have framed this print for other “Strikers” using mat and frame variations similar to this design.
