On the second row is an opening that contains a Freefall Parachutist Badge, a Parachutist Badge, and an Air Assault Badge. The bottom row contains a custom engraved nameplate commemorating the shadow box’s recipient. The design that makes this military shadow box effective is the use of triple black suede mats. Surrounding the objects inside the frame is an open V-groove with white bevels. The white bevels in the V-groove, and the white bevels in the window openings around the objects, provide relief from the solid black mats. The white bevels also provide depth for the objects framed.
