Armor Guidon – 3rd Battalion 69th Armor Regiment Custom Framed

Armor Guidon Example – 3rd Battalion 69th Armor Regiment Custom Framed

This is a 12” x 9” Armor Guidon custom embroidered. It was designed as tribute to a member of the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment. Sewn onto the guidon are unit patches and a flag patch. Of significance is the II MEF 2nd MEF Marine Expeditionary Force (FWD) Patch. The guidon was embroidered with deployment locations and dates. The design utilizes quadruple acid-free/conservation grade mats. The top and bottom mats are a midnight-black. The second mat is yellow and the third mat is green. The mat colors correspond with the colors in the guidon and the patches. A custom nameplate is set into the swallowtail area beside the guidon. This custom made guidon was sewn into place to prevent sagging or dropping. A dark mahogany tone wood frame complements the mat and armor guidon’s colors. All framing materials, including mats and foamboard, are conservation grade. This ensures the longevity of this heirloom piece. 99% UV protective glass covers the objects inside the frame.
